The science of human nutrition encompasses all interactions between dietary nutrients and the human body. Animal Nutrition focuses on improving animal health and welfare by concentrating on improving animal feeds. Along with our highly skilled staff we have the IANZ approved analytical Nutrition Laboratory which as well as providing facilities for research testing it is available as a commercial testing facility.

Health promotion with an increased focus on wellness and disease prevention combined with knowledge and understanding of the contribution that the natural environment may make to community health is becoming increasingly important. Environmental factors (natural and mechanical) do have a major impact on human health and well being. Research in the division focuses on the detection, examination and determination of the risk these environmental factors play on human health.
